In Paul Lazarus's adaptation of the John Steinbeck classic, the action is set in 1942 during the time of the Bracero Treaty between the United States and Mexico that brought thousands of skilled Mexican farm workers into the Salinas River Valley.

Schedule notes: No performaces May 13 and 21. On May 28, the performance will take place at 2 p.m. (all other Wednesday performances are at 8 p.m.).
