Times rating:
Readers' rating: Unrated Reader reviews: Write a review Mike Leigh's 1977 comedy is a nasty piece of working-class misanthropy featuring characters who are detestable yet richly complicated. The Odyssey Theatre Ensemble's revival could use some polishing in spots but it effectively captures Leigh's perceptive insights into the lives of ordinary people.
