This is a backstage comedy, so one expects that, in that uproarious tradition, hilarity will ensue. It doesn't, even though a first-rate cast, a proven director and impressive resources have been assembled for the West Coast premiere of Tom ("Over the Tavern") Dudzick's comedy.
