Readers' rating: Unrated Reader reviews: Write a review The longevity of Stephen Schwartz and John-Michael Tebelak's 1971 rock musical owes as much to its ecumenical take on the Gospel of St. Matthew as to its rampant tunefulness. Both aspects adorn director Chuck McCollum's reassessment, at times over-studied, more often taking flight on the joie de vivre of its full-voiced ensemble.
