Although in terms of sheer nuts-and-bolts storytelling it occasionally founders, R. Ernie Silva's solo show, cowritten with James Gabriel, is an entertaining and frequently inspiring account of Silva's escape from poverty in the Brooklyn projects and the cross-country odyssey that changed his life.
