Bruce Davison heads the cast in L.A. Theatre Works' live radio theater production of German dramatist Friedrich Durrenmatt's satire about three scientists who get themselves locked up in a mental institution to keep what they know from falling into the wrong hands.

Brendon Fox directs a translation by James Kirkup. The cast also features John de Lancie, Harry Groener, Gregory Itzin, Amy Pietz, Roma Maffia, Melinda Page Hamilton, Matthew Patrick Davis, Matt Gaydos and Christopher Guilmet.

Performances are recorded for public radio broadcast as part of "The Play's the Thing" series, which airs every Saturday night on KPCC-FM (89.3) from 10 p.m. to midnight, and is streamed live at kpcc.org for one week following each broadcast.
