Scott Schwartz' play with music is based on the Willa Cather novel depicting the relationship between an Eastern European immigrant girl and a young American boy in 1800s Nebraska. Schwartz directs, with music by his father, film and stage composer Stephen Schwartz. Part of the Festival of New American Musicals.
