A crime thriller heavily laced with violence and cruelty, John Pollono's play is a handsomely staged new black comedy for a trendy post-"Sopranos" mindset, but it still needs considerable work.

Went with a friend who had a free ticket. In the words of several of the characters, all I can say is Holy $#@%! This play blew me away. The performances were incredible and the writing unbelievable. Really touching at parts and scary in others. I had no idea I would be this enthralled. My friend and I debated the ending the whole ride home. I loved it, he was torn. I convinced him after I explained how the seeds were planted from the beginning. If it was a movie, we could watch it again. But that's the beauty of theatre. He is seeing it again to catch everything he missed. Not everyone is as astute as I am! RUN AND SEE THIS!

It's a dark show, but I really enjoyed it. Beautifully directed & wonderfully acted. Reminded me of the theatre I used to see in Chicago and in New York. It's raw and it's not for the faint of heart, but I have to recommend it highly.

II saw this play last Saturday night and then went out of town to Norwalk, so I have not been at a computer to write about it. Wow! This is the second play I've been to in Los Angeles. To be honest, I didn't like the first play very much. But this play was amazing! It was like watching a thrilling movie onstage. The friend I was with told me that theater in LA isn't usually this sharp and exciting (I jumped from my seat more than once). But I totally recommnd this play to anyone who likes very funny and sometimes dark material. I might go again in a few weeks.
