I LOVED this show!! I didn't realize that I was seeing the last performance in San Diego yesterday. Funny, touching, joyous--It was the best thing I've seen at the Globe in years. The only thing that was a bit confusing were a couple of the flashback scens. I can't imagine it not being a hit in NYC.

I'm 31 years old. My girlfriend made me go to this show. I'll have to say, I WAS IMPRESSED. Very well done. Not a fan of theater but this may have turned me. Go see it if you can. Not a bad seat in the house at the Old Globe.

i loved everything about this show - particularly the ending which i found touching and endearing. but what happened to the song YOU AND THE NIGHT AND THE MUSIC listed twice in the program, but n ever staged. i understand the need to trim shows, but i could have done without I LOVE LOUISA and BLUE PAJAMAS,. which would have left room for YOU AND THE NIGHT AND THE MUSIC

I found this show to be so enjoyable, I wanted to run onstage and join them. I don't understand LA Times criticism of the story because no one expects a sophisticated story from a musical like this. You expect great songs, great dancing, great laughs and lots of energy and that's exactly what you get from Dancing in the Dark. In fact I would easily pay to see it a second time.

Well worth the drive down! Great traditional musical with a fabulous cast, singing, dancing and acting their hearts out. We were surprised by a forum discussion after the show between the cast and members of the audience that stuck around. The discussion covered the contrasts with the movie, story, technical challenges and the Broadway potential. The cast was quite gracious considering they had to put on a 10 am show the next day. Don't miss this one (otherwise, you'll have to fly to NYC).

What a terrific experience! Yes, the show needs some trimming but you couldn't help but walk out humming a tune and with a smile on your face. There's not a weak link in the cast. All wonderful talents. Especially enjoyed Scott Bakula who's got amazing theatre chops and who surprised some of us with his outstanding singing and dancing! Hopefully, the show will have legs so those on the east coast will have a chance to see it (and hopefully, by then, it will be shorter, too!).

What an outstanding cast! What a great show. How often do you leave the theater in a great mood, feeling good, uplifted and completely satisfied that you had seen outstanding theater. "Dancing in the Dark" left me that way. Scott Bakula was simply outstanding. The guy sang, acted and danced his heart out. Beth Leavel, likewise. She is an absolute treasure. Mara Davi is incredbly beautiful and she sings, acts and dances just beautifully. After going through the cast list, I am in awe of how much talent I saw on a single stage. If you get a chance to see this show, don't miss it.
